Dear Delhi Shopaholics, Delhi Metro Has Great News For You!

We have an amazing news for the shopaholics of Delhi! The Delhi Metro will soon connect top four markets of South Delhi! Bye-bye traffic woes! So, the thing is that the folks at Delhi Metro have decided to open two major sections of Pink Line by this June. South Campus metro station is going be to be extended to Lajpat Nagar through Sarojini Nagar, INA and (hold your breath) South Extension! Give us all the brands and designers and street shopping altogether already!

Hold your breath again because there is more in store for you. The second section of the Pink Line will connect Shiv Vihar and Trilokpuri in East Delhi. So, yes, you get to shop. They get to shop. Everybody gets to shop! Also, if you want to go from Lajpat Nagar to Mayur Vihar, that segment is also going to see daylight, though a bit late this year in September. Moreover, Lajpat Nagar, being the interchange station, would bring South Delhi much closer to West Delhi. Are we going to see a major crossover between Naina and Aarti of iDiva? (We’re excited!)

Lajpat Nagar is going to be connected directly to West Delhi areas like Punjabi Bagh, Shakarpur, Rajouri Garden and Mayapuri. There is happy news for North Delhiwallas as well. Majlis Park, Shalimar Bagh, Azadpur, Netaji Subhash Place and Keshav Puram are going to be directly connected to Lajpat Nagar as well! A plus point: travelling to Faridabad or even Janpath is going to be a traffic-free zone with interchange at Lajpat Nagar station.

The extremely horrible traffic of East Delhi too can be avoided with interconnections between Welcome, Karkardooma, Anand Vihar and Mayur Vihar Phase I as well.

So, basically, what we’re saying is in the coming June, you can actually get to avoid the scorching heat and annoying traffic, all thanks to Delhi Metro! After all, you can’t just get tired during commute. You gotta save energy for your shopping spree, duh!
